Lake Channel area was homesteaded shortly after the town of American Falls was moved in 1925 in order to build the new dam. Many family members settled in this area from the Hunt families. The Hunt/Ramsey families have remained on this land for nearly 6 generations since.
Over the years the family has raised cattle, sheep, horses, as well as alfalfa, grain and potatoes.
Currently the land is occupied and the farms are run by Kevin and Tammy Ramsey, Louie and TraChelle Selga, their families and employees.
Cattle is still being raised on the land, as well as crops of alfalfa, grain and potatoes.
As our mission statement reads, we are dedicated to building a legacy for our future and hope to see more family on the land in generations to come.
